                                                   Interesante película basada en un libro escrito por el siquiatra estadounidense Irvin D. Yalom, libro de ficcion escrito en 1992, la pelicula esta dirigida por Pichas Perry: Trata de la relación entre Josep Breuer, fisiologo y psicólogo austriaco crador del metodo catártico para el tratamiento de las psicopatologías de la histeria, dicho método fue precursor del método psicoanalitico de Freud  . La historia se desarrolla en el escenario de la Viena del siglo XIX. Primavera de 1882. La joven y deslumbrante Lou Salomé organiza una misteriosa cita con Josef Breuer, célebre médico vienés, con el objetivo de salvar la vida de un tal Friedrich Nietzsche, un atormentado filósofo alemán, casi desconocido pero de brillante porvenir, que manifiesta tendencias suicidas. Breuer, influido por las novedosas teorías de su joven protegido Sigmund Freud, acepta la peligrosa estrategia que Salomé le propone: psicoanalizar a Nietzsche sin que éste se dé cuenta

     Henry Chinaski nunca se preocupó por el sueño americano, la idea de tener que convertirse en "algo" y encajar en el sistema le repugna. Él cree que la vida es gratis y los suyos a vivir como mejor le parezca, y si es que en algunos casos implica grandes cantidades de whisky que así sea. Henry se pasa los días bebiendo y escuchando la radio, y él pasa las noches bebiendo y peleando contra Eddy que él piensa personifica superficialidad desvergonzada y auto promoción. A veces, en medio de este se encuentra el tiempo para apuntar algunas líneas de poesía o un cuento corto. Después de luchar y ganar Eddy para un cambio Henry se lanza fuera de su bar habitual, donde Eddy es un camarero. Esto le lleva a buscar otro pozo de agua donde pasa a Wanda encontrar que es un borracho, en sus propias palabras "si otro hombre llegó junto con un quinto de whisky, me iría con él". Henry no se inmutó por esto tú y va a vivir con ella. Por supuesto Wanda inmediatamente se apaga y se acuesta con Eddy, pero después de un poco de ropa y lanzando dos visitas del Henry paramédicos y Wanda logró remendar su relación. Henry Chinaski never cared for the American dream, the idea of having to become 'something' and fit into the system disgusts him. He believes that life is free and yours to live as you see fit, and if in some cases involving large amounts of whiskey then so be it. Henry spends his days drinking and listening to the radio, and he spends his nights drinking and fighting against Eddy who he thinks personifies shallowness and shameless self-promotion. Sometimes, in the midst of this is the time to point out some lines of poetry or a short story. After fighting Eddy and winning for a change Henry is thrown out of his regular bar where Eddy is a bartender. This leads him to seek another watering hole where he happens to find Wanda who is a drunk, in his own words "if another man came along with a fifth of whiskey, I'd go with him." Henry not fazed by this thou and moves in with her. Of course Wanda immediately goes off and sleeps with Eddy, but after some clothes throwing and two visits from the paramedics Henry and Wanda managed to patch up their relationship. Then Henry gets a visit from a literary agent who has decided to publish one of his stories that he sent, because "I like the name of the magazine." Follows the agent home to home to receive your payment and with the help of a little whiskey sleeps with her. When he leaves to go back to the bar and back to Wanda the agent is heartbroken, she sees something special in Henry and has fallen for him. She follows him to his usual bar and gets into a cat fight with Wanda that Wanda wins.
